When it comes to getting at the true nature of trouble whether in relationships, institutions, or nations, I often think, these days in particular, of something a Very Wise Person once told me: “When the rubber meets the road, the issue will be Jesus Christ and Him alone.”
You might say that ultimately, the battle that has been brewing for millennia, beginning in the Garden and replicated in skirmishes through time, has boiled down to the eternal and core essentials in our time: raw evil versus pure good culminating when Jesus returns as a conquering King, a Commander of armies, a Man of war (see Matthew chapter 24 for more details).
It seems to me we live in perhaps the most significant day of revelation and of Revelation when it comes to the breakdown of the world and not, as the globalists lust after, to culminate in their New World Order, but, as all of spiritual prophecy indicates to, God’s Kingdom on Earth (see here for a summary of the events).
But although this season of what seems to be the ramp-up is fearful and unprecedented in the annals of war, in a way, we are fortunate to be living now because, as Archbishop Viganò puts it in his presentation, “we see the masks of tyrants from all over the world fall.”
We can know who the enemy really is, now, which is one of the primary goals of successful war strategy.
And if we have eyes to see, ears to hear, and hearts to yield to Jesus Christ for salvation and deliverance from evil, we can understand that our redemption may well be nigh.
But the most important message for believers, in particular, today, is to not neglect the Great Commission that has not been revoked or changed since Jesus declared it before He returned to heaven at the end of His first mission on earth:
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20)
…and to which each believer, as God has called and gifted us, is assigned.
Nor has Jesus revoked His gift of peace,
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. (John 14:27)
As evil continues to steal, kill, and destroy on the earth–and in men’s hearts–we need to encourage each other and keep each other focused on the eternal. Remaining in Jesus’ peace is key.
This is also, in my view, why Canadians focused on their primary message in this peaceful protest–love and unity–has been so successful to date in unmasking those dedicated to division. For he/they who would gain power through fomenting turmoil and division deep down know this will foil their efforts.
But when evil is unmasked, called out, revealed, it is the most dangerous time.
So, we must also encourage each other to prepare for even worse than we are seeing today, where certain Canadian “leaders”–and others of their ilk around the world–seem to be getting desperate not only in their deceptive rhetoric but also their draconian measures to squash the peaceful protests.
Satan and his minions may seem to be winning at the moment in Canada and around the world–and they likely thought they were winning at Golgotha, too, as they watched God’s own Son yield to their taunts and torture–but like Jesus’ enemies of old missed the significance of the Lamb of God, they will miss the prophetic significance of His very different earthly mission to come, as noted above, and what leads up to it.
And He is coming soon, it seems, as events portend so much of prophecy regarding the times we live in now.
But there is still time, even for those who have until now hardened their hearts, closed their eyes, and stopped their ears from the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to choose a different Commander, a different Way, Truth, and Life…*
Here is the Archbishop’s recent contribution from his particular calling as it points to biblical truths and temporal crises, and that extends, in my view, beyond the current skirmish in Canada to the world at large, and, most importantly, to the ultimate and eternal victory we have in Jesus Christ, and in Him alone. – pbn
