Of the terms future history books will feature to describe what facilitated one of the darkest eras of human history–ours–I believe propaganda, a mash-up of psychological operations such as disinformation, agitprop, indoctrination, and brainwashing will be tops on the list.
Not to mention any number of Big Lies used to grease the skids of destruction.
Combine them “top down, bottom up, and inside out,” as today’s neo-revolutionaries like to say to arguably encourage the choas both on the streets (a smash-up) and in certain chambers of power (a clash-up) and you might say it’s BOOM—propaganda gone nuclear (PGN).
Of course the end result of the deployment of the all-time-greatest propaganda hits–that might also be thought of as the ultimate of inside jobs in asymetric warfare–is the hoped-for mind control.
Because if you think about it, it is far, far easier to control humans who are by nature given to rebelliing against anything that impinges on their free will to do anything they want (and for which they will fight to the death in some cases) by first imprisoning their minds, if not taking them over completely–which some say is now possible even on the quantum level.
What?
(It’s worth looking into if you haven’t already. For example, read here, for one way this might be done, if you can believe it. But first, may I suggest you fortify your mind, soul, and spirit by reading on.)
Many people think we’ve already sunk pretty deep into PGN.
Even if the flotsam and jetsam of propaganda is not well understood, yet, or even rejected as some kind of conspiracy theory (the normalcy bias and peer pressure being as potent as they are) there will still be those gut feelings that what’s going down by those on a power high will wake us up (not synonymous with “being woke“) because the end results will eventually cause enough confusion, frustration, anger, distraction, intimidation and even a loss of the will to fight back as certain power-trippers seem to get away with their dark arts with impunity.
But the mental and psychological assaults go deeper than mere community-organized mayhem.
Such evil, as believers understand, really emanates from the innermost part of a person, i.e., the heart also known as the soul or spirit.
But Good News!
To combat that, believers get our instructions, perspectives, and marching orders, so to speak, from the spiritual field manual, aka the Bible (see sample, below from the Book of Proverbs), our discernment enhanced by the Holy Spirit, the Same One available to everybody who receives Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.*
When we closely study what the Bible has to say about propaganda (and other weapons of war both spiritual and material) and its power to bend minds, harden hearts, obscure truth, dim the eye, dull the ear, and destroy civilizations, it becomes clear we are
[not to] believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. (1 John 4:1), i.e., question all that we hear and read,
so that
[no one] takes [us] captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ. (Colossians 2:8),
by minding
[the] word of God [that is] living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12),
because
…many false prophets have gone out into the world. (1 John 4:1)

On Preserving Your Mind in the Age of PGN

May I here offer some information from the Bible on not only how to identify such warfare against the mind but also how to conquer and overcome the fog, frustration, and flat-out lies engendered (and engineered) by those who would be, well, gods, with the ability to control everything and everyone. If they could. For good. But they won’t. For long.

The information that follows includes not only what happens when we succumb to the suggestions and ways of dark regimes but also how to avoid the Antichrist and his acolytes (already setting the stage, as noted in biblical citations above and in headlines around the world) then what will happen depending on which option we personally choose: A. destruction, or B deliverance (option B highly recommended.)
And how to proceed–with help from the ultimate Insider, the aforementioned Holy Spirit, the Source of all knowledge–and the wisdom to go with.
Proverbs Chapter 1
Purpose and Theme
The proverbs of Solomon son of David, king of Israel:
2for gaining wisdom and instruction;
for understanding words of insight;
3for receiving instruction in prudent behavior,
doing what is right and just and fair;
4for giving prudence to those who are simple, a
knowledge and discretion to the young—
5let the wise listen and add to their learning,
and let the discerning get guidance—
6for understanding proverbs and parables,
the sayings and riddles of the wise. b
Prologue: Exhortations to Embrace Wisdom
Warning Against the Invitation of Sinful Men
8Listen, my son, to your father’s instruction
and do not forsake your mother’s teaching.
9They are a garland to grace your head
and a chain to adorn your neck.
10My son, if sinful men entice you,
do not give in to them.
11If they say, “Come along with us;
let’s lie in wait for innocent blood,
let’s ambush some harmless soul;
12let’s swallow them alive, like the grave,
and whole, like those who go down to the pit;
13we will get all sorts of valuable things
and fill our houses with plunder;
14cast lots with us;
we will all share the loot”—
15my son, do not go along with them,
do not set foot on their paths;
16for their feet rush into evil,
they are swift to shed blood.
17How useless to spread a net
where every bird can see it!
18These men lie in wait for their own blood;
they ambush only themselves!
19Such are the paths of all who go after ill-gotten gain;
it takes away the life of those who get it.
Wisdom’s Rebuke
20Out in the open wisdom calls aloud,
she raises her voice in the public square;
21on top of the wall d she cries out,
at the city gate she makes her speech:
22“How long will you who are simple love your simple ways?
How long will mockers delight in mockery
and fools hate knowledge?
23Repent at my rebuke!
Then I will pour out my thoughts to you,
I will make known to you my teachings.
24But since you refuse to listen when I call
and no one pays attention when I stretch out my hand,
25since you disregard all my advice
and do not accept my rebuke,
26I in turn will laugh when disaster strikes you;
I will mock when calamity overtakes you—
27when calamity overtakes you like a storm,
when disaster sweeps over you like a whirlwind,
when distress and trouble overwhelm you.
28“Then they will call to me but I will not answer;
they will look for me but will not find me,
29since they hated knowledge
and did not choose to fear the Lord.
30Since they would not accept my advice
and spurned my rebuke,
31they will eat the fruit of their ways
and be filled with the fruit of their schemes.
32For the waywardness of the simple will kill them,
and the complacency of fools will destroy them;
33but whoever listens to me will live in safety
and be at ease, without fear of harm.”

And that’s only chapter 1 of 31 total in just one book of the biblical anthology (66 books total).
So there’s LOTS more knowledg and wisdom to be had for the asking as well as practical applications to be gleaned to help clear the mind–not to mention steady the nerves and renew hope.
Because, if you think about it, the truths there have not failed mankind yet in overcoming some of the most powerful dark arts, ever, aimed against God’s creation. With not a little help from our Friend.
If this were not so, given the mind-blowing, spirit-enslaving potency of propaganda alone to destroy over millenia ( let alone literal nuclear–and technological–ordnance in such a time as this) the human race would have been doomed eons ago.
Know what I mean?
P.S. One of my long-term favorite ways to arm up, so to speak, with spiritual ordnance ( I mean where else are we going to get such clarity in an age of PGN?) on a daily basis is to read the chapter of Proverbs that corresponds with the date, e.g., Proverbs chapter 1 for the first day of the month, and so on.
Hmmm, seeing as how as I write this it is the last day of June, tomorrow could be the start of a whole new approach to both comprehending and battling what really ails the world–and troubles the mind!
But any time is good–in fact essential in our day–and it doesn’t matter which book and chapter you open up in the spiritual field manual. It will all point to Jesus Christ, the only Way, Truth, and Life to be had when the planet (and its people) go miserable–and PGN.
