VIEWPOINT #1: YES
According to a growing faction of Christians, the answer to the title question is yes.
If you take the shot that proponents of this viewpoint claim is the Mark of the Beast (MOTB) as is, right now, you have committed the unforgiveable sin.
You are damned already.
No matter if you are a believer or not.
No matter if you knew anything about this viewpoint or not.
Sorry, Charlie.
(For the very real physical dangers right now, however, see the End Notes section.)
But before I go to viewpoint #2, “Not Yet,” I will share three reasons I find this first viewpoint very problematic.
1: IT DOESN’T MATCH UP WITH PROPHECY
To suggest the MOTB is available today down at the local CVS negates quite a bit of prophecy yet to occur before it “goes live,” you might put it, specifically, but not limited to, the events of Revelation chapter 13 summarized here:
The book of Revelation contains an apocalyptic vision of two beasts emerging from the sea and land to take control of the world. It’s in this vision (in Revelation 13) that the image of the beast is first mentioned.
The first beast is a ten-horned, seven-headed monstrosity empowered and given authority by a dragon (Revelation 13:1–2). One of the heads is mortally wounded but is healed (verse 3). The beast is blasphemous against God and actively persecutes God’s people on earth (verses 5–7). It not only rules the world but receives the worship of the world’s inhabitants (verses 4, 7–8). The first beast is a symbolic picture of the Antichrist, and the dragon is Satan (cf. Revelation 12:9).
The second beast is a two-horned, deceptively benign creature that shares authority with the first beast (Revelation 13:11–12). The task of the second beast is to cause everyone to worship the first beast. As the second beast deceives the world with miracles, it orders that everyone “set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived” (verse 14). It also requires that everyone receive the mark of the beast in their forehead or right hand (verses 16–17). The second beast is a symbolic picture of the false prophet. (source)
In other words, according to the prophecies, the people will understand that receiving the Mark and worshipping the Antichrist is a requirement, not something that automatically happens without our knowledge and consent. (See reason 2 on the “pattern of free will,” below.)
So it appears there is a lot of prophecy that will take place before the actual choice to take the mark or not take the mark presents itself.
2: IT DEFIES THE PATTERN OF FREE WILL
To suggest that the inoculation is the prophesied MOTB as soon as it is taken, whether one knows they are taking it as the “live” MOTB (see viewpoint #2, below, “Not Yet”) or not, also defies the “pattern of free will” that indicates that, first, there is information from which to choose, then you make your choice. Of course at any time we can have confidence in the fact that those incapable of comprehension or free choice are covered by God’s mercy because He is a merciful God.
Additionally, verse 15 of the same chapter in Revelation indicates that the pattern of free will is, in fact, still functioning right down to the “point of no return,” you might put it (emphasis added):
And it [the false prophet, the second beast] was allowed to give breath to the image of the [first] beast, so that the image of the beast might even speak and might cause those who would not worship the image of the beast to be slain.
In short, the Antichrist 1) finally gets his voice, as it were, from the False Prophet, 2) he somehow communicates the choices–God or him–, BUT 3) some would not worship him and take his Mark (or agree to its activation), and besides not being able to buy or sell and many other privileges allowed only to those with the activated MOTB, many will be slain.
And the prophecy component, especially the timeline, is vitally important, because God gives us plenty of prior information to not agree to the Mark (see chapters 14:6-12) via some pretty remarkable signs, wonders, and warnings, before those of us still alive then choose our eternity in one place or another.
I believe God makes it very clear because even though the real enemy of our free will–and our faith in God–seems to have found for himself (and his witting and unwitting accomplices) a fail safe technological work-around (or so they believe), it won’t work on everyone because God “wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth” (1 Timothy 2:4) and there will be those with enough God-given faith and strength to resist the wrong choice–even at the last minute.
But here, I believe, is perhaps the most important reason to keep the pattern of free will in mind: If we know not what we choose, or have chosen, for example, if we don’t know that this new idea, new viewpoint about what constitutes damnation (see explanation below) applies even now before several major prophetic events occur even if few hear about it or even understand it if they do, is that free will?
And more importantly, and tragically, many might seriously wonder if God lied, then, about free will, what else might He have lied about? Which also serves our real enemy if you think about it.
Fortunately, however, we have these words to calm our fear and confusion:
Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. (James 1:16-17)
In short: In God there is no deception, tainted message, confusing command–and nothing hidden until it’s too late–from those diligently searching God’s Word for meaning and guidance, whether before or after taking the shot.
So the most important reason viewpoint #1 comes up short is because it offers an extra-biblical view of damnation that also impacts the (biblical) view of salvation, as discussed below.
3: IT OFFERS AN EXTRA-BIBLICAL VIEW OF DAMNATION AND SALVATION
God’s Word offers the following information concerning salvation and damnation:
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. (John 3:16, emphasis added)
“Believ(ing)”: “to have faith (in, upon, or with respect to, a person or thing), i.e. Credit; by implication, to entrust (especially one’s spiritual well-being to Christ) — believe(-r), commit (to trust), put in trust with.”
What is both implicit and explicit in John 3:16 is also free will, our choice for or against God and salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ. And to know our choices, we need information, i.e., Bible-based teaching and preaching, for
…faith comes from hearing [what is told], and what is heard comes by the [preaching of the] message concerning Christ. (Romans 10:17)
Fortunately, as noted above, God has provided the needed information via myriad books in the anthology called the Bible, and by preachers and teachers well-versed in same.
And He has also provided a way of salvation by way of what His creation signifies, should some not have opportunity to read or hear from His Word (I am thinking particularly of those living in anti-Christian nations where the Bible and all things related to it are censored, burned, or in some other way destroyed), the same evidence that, for others looking for an excuse to not believe in Him, cannot be denied. As put in Romans 1:20:
For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities–his eternal power and divine nature–have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
(God is, after all, the Metaphorist of metaphorists and “All things work together for good for those who love the Lord and are called to His purpose” [Romans 8:28])
So there is still a choice, even in the most restricting of circumstances.
And by way of encouragement and hope, especially for those sorrowing over their or their loved ones’ choices to take the shot before having come across viewpoint #1 and thus are now horrified that they might have unwittingly committed the unforgiveable sin, please note also:
And surely [promised Jesus] I am with you [who choose Him] always, to the very end of the age. (Matthew 28:20)
On to the second viewpoint.
VIEWPOINT #2: NOT YET
In this view, which I share, the answer to the title question is that the inoculation could contain all the components necessary for a MOTB, but it has not yet “gone live”. That is to say, whatever the “breath” is that will animate the Antichrist’s reign inside humans who receive this mark has not yet been imparted. In other words, that preliminary piece of prophecy has yet to be fulfilled, too.
Activated Inside humans?
According to one of the inoculation development companies, the payload includes an “operating system” injected into the body designed to respond to some kind of command and control center that will both send and receive information about and concerning, eventually, every aspect of us, our physical and mental health, our behavior, and even our belief systems–once the switch is flipped to “on”.
As it so happens, literally, 5G (the generation of technology with the juice to enter the body’s cells with very little transmission interference) may well be the “commander’s” ticket in.
As for the “breath” to go live, you might say it is good old O2, once the cell towers are installed as close as they need to be to operate at 60GHz–which seems to be the ideal set up.
But whether or not it’s 5G, whatever is needed to give breath to the “voice” of something or someone–or perhaps both man and machine–if it’s in the hands of such an enemy as the Antichrist, talk about the best, ever, Trojan Horse.
And besides the takeover of the human brain as a very real possibility with this kind of inside job, think also of its power to erase certain information as well…which would really negate free will. If you think about it.
SUMMARY
In short: my advice is don’t take the Mark when it comes your time to choose not only for the most important of spiritual reasons, as noted above, but also for myriad scientific reasons, below*.
But to the most important of my differences of opinion concerning viewpoint #1 which prompted this post to begin with, this new viewpoint deviates from classic Christian doctrine concerning what constitutes salvation and damnation.
And that might be the most significant spiritual consequence of this viewpoint for those who haven’t come across it until its very recent emergence and who may even love and serve the Lord yet (unknowingly) took the shot–perhaps even encouraged loved ones to do so, too.
I mean, can you imagine the fear, condemnation, and horror they must be feeling?
The despair?
For, as proponents of that viewpoint insist: it’s too late.
Paradise
is
lost.
But if that is or was you, please also remember this:
I [Jesus] give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all]; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. (John 10:28-29)
As per the pattern of God’s gift of free will, people might in their lifetime ultimately choose to reject Christ, but they will know their choice.
Concerning those occasions when God, Himself, “hardens hearts,” it is not without our cooperation.
Because God is not only merciful but also patient, I believe there will have been sufficient invitations for such individuals to “come back” to Him–before He, Who alone knows each of our hearts, will have said “enough is enough”. Here are a number of encouraging and comforting Scriptures related to this.
I believe that as much as it would serve our real enemy to be able to surprise us with an eternally damning event thereby over-riding God’s gift of free will, the devil cannot do so while we still choose to follow God, putting our faith in His Son, Jesus, as Savior and Lord.
Our choices might be very difficult, but here is more encouragement and comfort:
I [and you] can do all things through Christ who strengthens [us]. (Philippians 4:13)
because–
[We], dear children, are from God and have overcome them [those who deny Christ], because the one who is in [us] is greater than the one who is in the world. (1 John 4:4)
And please never forget:
With God all things are possible. (Matthew 19:26)

END NOTES
-If the reader has not yet come across information on what constitutes biblical salvation and damnation, here is a good explanation.
-Until we reach chapters 13 and 14 in Revelation “on the ground,” it wouldn’t hurt to refresh the memory, or study anew, the prophecies for end times. Here is a good explanation of those, with many topics covered.
*TO THE PHYSICAL, REAL, DANGERS: As for my own choice to not take the shot, besides that it looks like the real deal for the Mark of the Beast when that goes live, it is also for the same 31 reasons outlined in the previous post. But even mainstream news is finally coming out with more information on the dangers of it RIGHT NOW as an “operating system”. Here’s just one recent article. Here’s another from the past few days from a former executive in the industry. Here’s still another very recent interview with one of the doctors who has unpacked the science documents explaining the reasons the shot isn’t what we think it is. And just found today, here’s a good general and late-breaking source of information published by the Millions Against Medical Mandates organization.
For those with eyes to see and ears to hear, there are many more such exposés, once you get past the censors. God speed. If the links have already been corrupted, that should also speak loudly to the discerning.
Wow, Phyl – you did such a good job speaking to all…from novice to (self-identified) knowers of all there is to know.😄Great job!Sent from Samsung Galaxy smartphone.
