Introduction and update: I was going to post something else today, but there have been quite a few views of this post from 2015. I hope people have not only been spiritually strengthened but also prepared in a practical sense by the discussion on the topics featured below.
For the events of the past few days in the United States beginning with the tragic death of George Floyd being arguably exploited by anarchists such as Antifa and others who infiltrate legal protests with criminal activites such as arson, theft, and other forms of destruction to vulnerable inner city neighborhoods necessitate a new kind of vigilance by all.
All of this chaos and criminal activity on the tails of the economic and pandemic damage already having caused such pain and suffering to citizens not only in the U.S. but worldwide, reminds me of the old anarchists’/revolutionaries’ strategy to disrupt governmental, economic, and societal institutions from the “top down, bottom up (and) inside out,” aka “deconstruction”. Here is a good discussion of this strategy, and added posts on the arguable influence of the post-modern “critical race” and “intersectionality” theories.
We are not in Kansas anymore, as it were, with regard to the state of classic systems disruption, but rather, as many believe (and not just believers) we may well be on the precipice of a real existential crisis of not only figurative but also literal biblical proportions.
It is doubtful anything, let alone the post-pandemic world economy and social structures, will return to “normal”.
It may well be that the so-called New World Order has now come fully out of back room, smoke-filled confabs into the flame-filled streets of multiple inner-cities with a Machiavellian vengeance heralded by New World Chaos.
And we need all the perspectives–worldy and spiritually–available to us.
I hope this will help the reader to consider a few possibilities. And, to the primary purpose of this entire series, perhaps the research and discussions from past posts will be of even better use now.
For just now, it seems the anarchist rallying cry, noted above, is more than ever in play–or should I say, in destruction.
Just watch the news–that is, what’s left of real news since arguably so many former journalistic platforms have become propaganda outlets for, some say, the anarchists themselves whether they are clad in suits and ties or black masks and garb…
Most of the time, The 10/80/10 Survival Theory, one focus of the redux post, is referenced in terms of business management training, outside of specific survivalist quarters. However, the application I clearly saw in 2015 and much more so today, is in the multiple battlegrounds we face as the world heads full-bore into what many believers view as end times pre-conditions.
See what you think.
Put your seatbelt on, “pack your spiritual bags,” as my brother Greg often says, and remain alert.

“On The 10/80/10 (Physical ) Survival Theory” and “The 66 (Spiritual) Survival Plan”
Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men,
from men whose words are perverse,
who have left the straight paths
to walk in dark ways,
who delight in doing wrong
and rejoice in the perverseness of evil,
whose paths are crooked
and who are devious in their ways. (Proverbs 2:12-15 NIV)
In a sense, there is nothing new under the sun (another Scripture reveals), yet to anybody paying attention just now, “dark paths” and “devious men” seem to be multiplying.
Exponentially.
One can hardly pick up a newspaper or turn on the television without noting more bad news about yet another terror.
Watchers on the temporal scene note the passing of some kind of tipping point as civilization (seemingly) breaks down.
Watchers on the spiritual scene note the up-tick of a number of so-called “end-times prophecies.”
The only ones left in the mocker’s chair are the frightful and the fearful as those who perpetrate perversion seem Hell bent…
What to do—“on the ground” and “in the spirit”?
THE WISDOM OF “THE 10/80/10”
Elsewhere in my survival posts I have referenced a physical survival concept titled the “10/80/10 Theory.” It comes to mind more and more, these days. It bears repeating, I think.
This concept, coined by survival teacher and researcher John Leach [1], refers to three groups of people and how they each react to catastrophes, whether “acts of God” or acts of man.
