Activist judges have an anti-American, collectivist agenda that is antagonistic to the Constitution. Activist judges do not support the separation of powers—they legislate from the bench. Activist judges do not support the Constitution—they defy the executive branch. Activist judges are usurping the power of the legislative and executive branches of the United States government.
Theoretically, the power of activist judges in lower courts is held in check by upper courts and finally the Supreme Court. A tie in the Supreme Court upholds lower court decisions and awards lower court activist judges the final say. It neuters the Supreme Court.
The entire legal system of the United States of America rests upon the principle that an individual is innocent until proven guilty. This is no small thing.
When ALLEGATIONS of misconduct, sexual in nature or not, are allowed to replace PROOF of misconduct as the metric for truth we have destroyed the foundation of civil society in America. The adult world of objective reality demands facts and proof to determine truthfulness. The childish world of subjective reality accepts allegations and feelings to determine truthfulness.
Consider the consequences.
If we surrender to the world of feelings where accusations are regarded as truth then anyone can accuse YOU of anything for any reason and it will be accepted as truth. Without the presumption of innocence, allegations can be weaponized to destroy YOUR reputation, YOUR family, YOUR business, YOUR personal life, YOUR political life, YOUR religious life, and YOUR standing in the community.
The presumption of innocence is codified in our legal system and must be protected by our national conscience. We the people must remain adult citizens who demand evidence and the presumption of innocence. We must reject the emotional impulse to accept feelings as facts.

Thank you for sharing this Phyllis. It’s a very powerful indictment of those who seek to pervert the truth in the name of justice, but in so doing corrupt the principle of justice itself.

Well put.
Those who want to destroy this nomination (and this good man, his family, and his reputation) do not understand that they are crafting the noose that might well in another day and perhaps another administration end up around their own necks. The Esther story in the Bible comes to mind.
I trust that Judge Kavanaugh’s family and friends who have knowledge of the tactics of mean people (especially such mean people who seem to lack a conscience and whose motives seem to be to destroy opposition at any cost to the opposition) will have had a chance to explain to the Judge that you cannot fight rage (even) with righteous anger because that only feeds the ragers. Indeed, yesterday, the next, predictable, and immediate tactic of his accusers was to corrupt the meaning of his human outrage to this tactical plan to destroy his life to try to convince observers that is is really evidence that he cannot be a dispassionate Judge.
I doubt there are many people left who fell for that distortion…
It takes a greater wisdom to withstand and overcome this kind of evil.
It might take a long time, or it could take a very short time.
But I hope the Judge, who is a believer, has come to really comprehend that “greater is He in us than he who is in the world,” and in the “He,” i.e., the Holy Spirit, are the spiritual weapons that will enable the Judge to overcome this onslaught against him.
I hope he comprehends this.
I hope he deploys this knowledge, soon.
And I hope he realizes that the Civil War is in progress in this nation, only it is not of conventional warfare, it is spiritual, and it involves the “principalities and powers” of the supernatural.
Yet, Jesus still offers His “good cheer,” for He has overcome “the world” in which our real enemy seeks to devour all that is good.
Thus, even in the midst of this “fire,” Kavanaugh will be able to regain strength, emotional fortitude, and clarity of analysis.
To these ends, I pray for him, and for all who come up against this spiritual juggernaut in the guise of politically destructive forces.
