I had a conversation recently with someone I had not seen in many years. We briefly discussed politics, the rage of the far left, in particular. She made a comment about “disliking the propaganda” in a way that made me suspect she might be in agreement with the far left in its claim that independent, moderate and conservative news sources are fake news and propaganda outlets.
I believe the argument can be made on solid ground that it is really the far left that is propagandizing (see what you think after viewing the video presentation below).
We had little time to talk, but the conversation remains with me.
Even if this is not really the case with her, I got to thinking about the power of propaganda, specifically in the case of those who are really promulgating it and blaming those who resist them, i.e., a growing group of people who listen to the propagandists talk peace and tolerance but watch them act out violence and hatred against any who disagree with them.
Those who have studied the issue and the real history and nature of Soviet propaganda recognize many of the tactics revealed by the former KGB operative in the video as those being used by the far left today, promoted by the mainstream media venues that support them.
Some may be shocked by what is revealed in this 1983 talk, for they may be learning about all this for the first time, young people in particular, whom I seriously doubt are being exposed to the real history behind communism and socialism in school.
And I suspect that the real history of Soviet subversion, which in a sense is an example of the principles of successful subversion–and takeover–by any actor, and famously developed by Sun-tzu (of whom I wrote here ) in his military manual The Art of War, has also either been forgotten by older generations, or perhaps was not taught them, either.
I believe this information is critical for those just now shocked by the efforts to censor the political talk of the right, for just one effort to subvert a nation.
Because if “they” can do it vis-a-vis the political right, what’s to stop “them” from doing it to the left, or anyone else “they” deem, say, politically incorrect?…
So to the video.
According to YouTuber GBPPR2, who made this video available in 2011 and encourages others to mirror it:
“Yuri Bezmenov (alias Tomas Schuman), a Soviet KGB defector, explains in detail his scheme for the KGB process of subversion and takeover of target societies at a lecture in Los Angeles, 1983. Yuri Bezmenov was a former KGB propagandist who was assigned to New Dehli, India – and defected to the West in 1970. Bezmenov explains his background, some of his training, and exactly how Soviet propaganda is spread in other countries in order to subvert their teachers, politicians, and other policy makers to a mindset receptive to the Soviet ideology. He also explains in detail the goal of Soviet propaganda as total subversion of another country and the four-step formula* for achieving this goal. He recalls the details of how he escaped India, defected to the West, and settled in Montreal as an announcer for the CBC. Note the segments starting at around 14 and 24 minutes into the video.”
NOTE: For those becoming increasingly frustrated with attempts to try to convince members of the far left that the facts, documents, and prima facie evidence of criminality on the far left are the real news, the words of Bezmenov, below, will explain in part why this is such a difficult task.
Hopefully, his warning will also point the reader to new resolve in other directions of appropriate resistance, most notably, education, prayer, use of all legal methods of recourse (especially VOTING), and sharing this information.
It was a long time getting to “here” in the evolution of far left rage, disinformation, and mind control (Bezmenov estimates 15-20 years, that is, one generation). It might be a long process back.
If we have that much time left considering the damages done.
And considering the part far left “immigration ideology,” for lack of a better term, plays in the degradation of a nation, consider Bezmenov’s comments at about the 30 minute mark.
Here are this former KGB operatives sobering words–and his warning:
“As I mentioned before, exposure to true information does not matter anymore. A person who was demoralized is unable to assess true information. The facts tell nothing to him, even if I shower him with information, with authentic proof, with documents and pictures. …he will refuse to believe it…. That’s the tragedy of the situation of demoralization.”
–Yuri Bezmenov [1980s]

As a believer, I would also say this: the war against the West may not be a temporal battle that will be completely won at this point, but be encouraged that all is going exactly according to the eternal, prophetic plan.

*The “four step process” of subversion and takeover of an enemy nation without having to, as Bezmenov puts it, “fire a shot, or blow up a bridge.” He adds it takes about one generation.
- Demoralize the existing culture (infiltrate, ridicule, and subvert its educational, religious, social structure, labor relations, military, and law and order constructs),
- Destabilize (largely by propaganda and, his term, “fake news”),
- Create crisis, which results in either a) invasion or b) civil war (note: and here I am reminded of former White House Chief of Staff in the Obama Administration, and finance director in the 1992 Clinton presidential campaign, Rahm Emanuel’s famous statement: “You never want a serious crisis to go to waste”), and
- Normalize (which is to say, “normalize the conditions of the takeover”–e.g., tanks in the streets, the round-up of all who protest the takeover, etc.–so that whomever has wrested control of the nation can now finish its fundamental transformation, in the case of the example cited in the video, to a Soviet-styled, Marxist/Leninist dictatorship.
POST SCRIPT: Have you ever wondered why the Bible, specifically, the Ten Commandments listed therein and cited as among the moral underpinnings of (this) nation, seems to have been the first cultural standard its enemies wanted destroyed?
If you had a sudden, visceral, negative emotional response to even just seeing the words “Bible” or “Ten Commandments,” in print, do you wonder why?
Do you have the same intense emotional response when religious texts from any other belief systems are noted or brought up in any way?
Very well explained! Yuri was equally informative AND entertaining. Forwarded to Amy.
Again: HAPPY BIRTHDAY dear sister!
Love you very much, Greg
