Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit (pneuma: joined to and moved by the Holy Spirit) and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints” (Ephesians 6:18).

Believers have been provided many spiritual “weapons” with which to effectively overcome our real adversary who shows up in the flesh. Most notable are our spiritual “armor” and the powerful name of Jesus in the face of adversity and adversaries.

Most recently, however, I wrote about the power of praying in tongues, just one of the many manifestations of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, all, potent. Regarding discoveries about this spiritual phenomenon and its “location” in the human brain, see what you think about the following conjecture. See if you think that perhaps the Holy Spirit ( the “HS Brain,” as it were) has given us a way to not only circumvent the power of the physical and mental “weapons formed against us” by an exceedingly intelligent arch-enemy (who has been tracking and learning from human actions and reactions eons longer than Google and the NSA) but also has provided a way to overcome the fear that is such a friend of evil when it comes to controlling the masses…

The whole topic of praying in tongues, even the topic of  the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, is controversial, however. Many denominations diffuse the potency of the Baptism by making a ritual out of it (“Confirmation”), minimizing it as mere form with little to no substance, neglecting sometimes entirely the Scriptural references  to it.

But as the planet becomes increasingly plagued by evil, I believe that now more than ever believers need to receive and employ all that Jesus has provided for us to conduct ourselves effectively on the battlefields of this time in history, a time many think is very close to the second coming of Jesus Christ.

We need to be spiritually prepared as well as in other ways, because there is another who is aware of the era as well. He knows it likely harkens the beginning of his (fiery) end, and he will not, as prophesies reveal, be going down without a fight…of literal biblical proportions…

AI BRAIN

I bring up the subject of the Holy Spirit in filling and gifts today because of a purported new technological capability courtesy of advances in Artificial Intelligence, or AI.

Most of us have heard about the so-called skull-to-brain capabilities of modern computers which have both good and not so good ramifications. Good as in the potential for stimulating damaged senses and muscle groups (to hear, move, and see better, for example), and not so good as in the (newest) potential to implant suggestions as if coming from oneself or even some other figure, supernatural, say, or even from some “otherworldly” origin. Kind of like how “they” can now beam up the image of a city skyline  that is in reality a hologram–only this is a “voice”. In the brain.*

How?

There is some very interesting, fresh off the (nano) drawing board (and some think already available) high-tech intended for our brain by way of the bloodstream, dubbed “neuro-lace:” a “hypothetical device (that) will be a computer interface woven into the human brain. The device would enable humans to access Google by just thinking about it….”

By just thinking about it?

Now, how’s a body gonna run and hide from THAT, let alone overcome it?! Can we even try? (Particularly if it might be the invention by which “The [prophetic] Beast” will demand we “worship” him–or else no buying, no selling–and off with the head.)

(Short answer: yes, we can overcome it. See below.)

Brings to mind Borg, announcing, in monotone unison, “We are Borg; you will be assimilated”.  With the reminder that “resistance is futile” (pronounced few-tie-ul).

And we’re not talking the already quite powerful (external) memes or carefully crafted rhetoric, or even those commercial jingles that keep going around and around in your head long after the television set has  been turned off. (Mmm, mmm, not so good, after a while).

We’re talking command and control via the commandeers of the Sentient World Simulation netting, as it were, real-time info on, among other things, “human nodes” (read: you and me) via the ubiquitous power towers sending and receiving all around town. They’ve got our number–not to mention a data cache of our habits, proclivities, tastes, beliefs, patterns, and fears–locked and loaded into computers that can now process bits and bytes generated by you and me with the speed of up to 7 billion brains in real-time.

And here’s the part that could keep one up at night: they therefore also “know” who or “Whom” we choose to answer to, as it were, and one prediction is this: at one point they may be able to insert the “voice” our data reveals we “listen to”–right inside our heads to power-up, maybe, a Sentient World Delusion?

Old monotone Borg (we’re on to them anyway) would be “replaced” by God or gods, gurus or spirit guides; heaven-sent–or Hell–whatever our data shows WE best submit to…

(Clever devils, eh?)

So again, how does one hide from THOSE smarts?!

HS BRAIN

Getting back to the Holy Spirit’s “brain,” maybe His “supernatural smarts” have been intended all along, among other things, to function in a real version of “real-time transmission,” in a kind of spiritual quantum entanglement, a “direct line of communication” between believers and God in order to circumvent (or short-circuit) the power of AI. Not a “Net” with which to trap and control us, rather one in which to rescue and protect us from, in this case, mental marauders–and the fear of what technology this way comes!

(Even AI point man Elon Musk has expressed fears of what might happen if, say, some evil dictator might hack into and/or wrest control of the AI system. Like it won’t happen. Like maybe it hasn’t already happened.*)

But back to the Greater Intelligence.

At the very least, on the occasion of our salvation, our alignment, if you will, with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, we begin to have access to and enlightenment from “the mind of Christ.“** And He, Himself prophesied more:

 I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you. (John 14:15-17 NASB).

That would be, of course, the Holy Spirit.

And, some say, those who want access to our very innermost thoughts for their gain (oh, and all the good things…too…of course..) apparently have a very hard time trying to gain access to believers’ minds.***

But how to access Him, His protection, guidance, and gifts (for example, praying in tongues)?

Ask.

Oh, and today would be good–because, for one thing, you know what they say: what the high-tech powers-that-be reveal to the public today might already be quite passe...

We might face formidable, incredible, and even unimaginable foes, real and virtual, but, still, we can rely on this reminder–and promise:

“(But) every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.

⁴ You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. (1 John 4:3-4).

*As Musk noted, as soon as we can figure out how to achieve “direct cortical interface” (and hopefully also insure that no evil dictator takes control of AI) we will be good to go.
