UPDATE:On Discerning Your “Spiritual Gut,” Part 3–Reminders

Phyllis Beveridge Nissila

(Early the next day): a reader with a particular set of skills reminds us of the wisdom of “hiding in plain sight,” while another reminds us of “keeping our spiritual bags packed.”

More on Discerning Your “Spiritual Gut” to come soon, that in these days of mounting fear and confusion, we might remain in the love, wisdom, and comfort of the Lord.

Who is not surprised by any of this.

Who knows “the end from the beginning.”

Be of good cheer.

  1. I know that many of us are not surprised but are sorely grieved nonetheless.

As my husband constantly reminds me, though, God has not changed, and He is still on the throne. May we hold Him above everything, walk in Him, and guard His truth in our hearts and minds.

“God…is still on the throne.” I’ll “second” that! 🙂

That is exactly what my fellowship group members and I remind ourselves of frequently, along with the fact that we still get to have the joy of the Lord despite all the fear-mongering and genuinely fearful stuff going on.

I am being reminded, of late (I believe by the Holy Spirit), of a variety of knotholes, so to speak, He has brought me through, through the years, that I hope might be helpful for readers trying hard to discern the “still, small voice” of their own “spiritual gut.” Although, as the second installment illustrated, it might even be something that happens the day of or just prior to writing a post!

Anyway, “carrying on”…with a trowel in one hand and a sword (of truth) in the other…;)
