The wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going; so is everyone who is born of the Spirit (John 3:8).

 Just as you do not know the path of the wind and how bones are formed in the womb of the pregnant woman, so you do not know the activity of God who makes all things (Ecclesiastes 11:5).

Computer systems engineers tell us that Artificial Intelligence (AI), once “plugged in,” is now able to leap tall computations in as fast as 2 to the 1,152^nd power processing time.

Can’t wrap your mind around that? Me, either.

But we’d better pay attention to the ramifications of this if it is true that the upcoming “Jade Helm 15” activity in the U.S. starting this July is really a kind of beta testing for AI-controlled warfare.*

As some think.

However, the engineers also tell us that in all of its quantum glory, AI still needs one more crucial “plug in” performed by “old school intelligence” (read: “us”) in order to do the predictive and preemptive work that it is now capable of doing. (Remember the movie Minority Report? Like that.)

In short, in order to have complete control and command of “the human domain” (also read: “us”), AI needs to figure out our motives by ascertaining our emotions so that it can forestall rebellion and squelch opposition before it starts.

If this is what “they” are up to.

As some think.

And it cannot yet intuit the multiple nuances of a single set of data, like mere mortals can, despite its super-powers. As smart as AI is it is still not “alive”. (Remember the movie Short Circuit? Like that.)

For example, remember how when you were growing up your mother could quell a kid riot with a single raised eyebrow? Or how you immediately knew you were in deeeeep trouble when she pronounced all three of your names?

Well, it seems that as morph-able and mind-blowing as is the current state of the computer art, the machines still can’t discern motive and ascertain intent without much more trackable data—plus, certain kinds of data. Because of something called data neutrality (all data points are of more or less equal import) one eyebrow raised or full name pronounced is just, well, one eyebrow raised or full name pronounced. Not enough info for AI to work with.

“Try” as they might AI’s still cannot read our minds and all that that means. Thus, we still have to “cooperate” in some way for the mega-machines to cipher what we’re really up to.

Or, what they are programmed to “think” we’re up to.

So how do they then get enough information with which to better to control and command us?

As most already know, we give it to them via all the data we provide for them on our “smart” gadgets and appliances, and all other things that are traceable and track-able, particularly via the Internet but not limited to that. (Remember the movie, N.S.A.? Oh. Wait. Not a movie…)

Machines may not be able to discern the nuance of one raised eyebrow or a single recitation of all three of our names but they are pretty good at analyzing repeated behaviors and patterns and associating all of the data with pre-programmed conclusions.

For example, an AI might “ask”: does ”human node # 12-345-6789” participate in a lot of forums filled with purple prose about, say, power-mongers who want to commandeer us via AI for possible nefarious ends?

Does that same human node give a nod to multiple sites accessed by key words such as, say, “revolution,” “how to survive off the grid on the cheap,” and/or “What it means if four horsemen riding steeds of particular size and color crest the horizon, the sun turns to darkness, the moon to blood and all Aich E, Double El breaks loose” (or something like that)?

Additionally, does he/she purchase a lot of bottled water, bullets and batteries?

Not to mention does said node participate in social media where many of us log every relationship, affiliation, tribe, tongue, and creed of our lives along with the entirety of our daily goods, bads, and uglies down to the minute as (click, click, click) the miners in the matrix (remember the movie…?) mind all that business, too?

THIS is the kind of math the machines can add up by “node,” neighborhood, nation and globe (oh, the power!) to whatever analytical end for which they are pre-programmed…to amass the troops where most needed…to ready the restraints…

Or so some think.

So, how to get off THAT “grid”?

It helps to back off tracking mechanisms. Resist the latest electronic gadgets, pay cash, use Faraday protectors, and cut up store discount cards and pay the extra dime.

But there’s more.

The most lasting—and some believe most assured—protection is to behave in concert with Who you know and what He says.

Who?

God.

Not the “God Particle” currently sought by the CERN folks. The real deal.

THIS is where “spiritual gut” discernment comes in.

AI has yet to best IXOYE, He Who engineered the brains behind and in front of the scenes to begin with, the God of nuance, spirit, soul, and true discernment, Whose Word is “quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12).

And, as the Scriptures atop indicate, this God defies tracking.

Oh, the real power!

And one more thing for here and now: because as best the AI “programmers” can tell it’s our FEAR and ANGER as evidenced in what we say and write, who we affiliate with, and what we do that will render us “discernable” as a “threat” to the ones behind the curtain (remember The Wizard of Oz?), here’s an immediate “word” from God’s Word to void that power:

Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10).

Fry the circuits, muddy the matrix, join the resistance by–going forth in joy.

Who knew?!

And for extra power, add “peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control” (Galatians 5:22-23), the so-called “fruit of the spirit”—data unknown and unknowable to Artificial Intelligence–and artificers.

But most of all?

Remain in the love of God, Who heals the sick, raises the dead, sets captives free, and melts hearts of stone. The Original Power Source that, despite all the glitz and glory, bits and bytes of intelligence the world has to offer, millions in every generation and from every tribe and tongue have, do, and will gladly still follow for that peace and hope those outside His matrix, if you will, will never know.

And, when it all boils down, the One and the same God whose power, power-mongers want to usurp by becoming gods over all, themselves.

Oh. P.S. Data Miners? If you’ve never thought about trying Jesus as a “power source,” if you will, give Him a little of your time. After all, if what history records about Him is true, He’s at least worth considering…
